Together, We’re Continuing to Make History
We’re excited to share a transformative moment for The Womxn Project that reflects the growing impact of the work we are all going to keep doing, the power of our shared mission, and the results of our work thus far. We are only in Rhode Island and we’re not going anywhere!
With this new foundational gift we are sharing below—and with your continued support—we are poised to grow our programs, deepen our impact, and ensure that The Womxn Project remains a powerful force for change for years to come.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment. Your partnership makes everything we do possible.
Rhode Island College to Honor Jocelyn FoyeWe are proud to announce that Rhode Island College (RIC) will award an honorary doctorate to our Executive Director, Jocelyn Foye, at its 2025 Commencement ceremonies this May 15 at the Graduate Ceremony.
This prestigious recognition celebrates Jocelyn’s unwavering commitment to reproductive rights and bodily freedom—and acknowledges the broader contributions of The Womxn Project to the state of Rhode Island.
Under Jocelyn’s leadership, The Womxn Project has become a powerful force for change, advancing equity, bodily autonomy, and civic engagement. Our unique blend of art, activism, and community organizing has driven transformative statewide campaigns on reproductive freedom, healthcare access, LGBTQIA+ rights, and gender equity at the State House to the 39 local School Committees.

Jocelyn shared:
“We are deeply grateful for this support. This gift allows TWP to establish a permanent home in the heart of Providence—a safe space for all. It’s been a long journey from our grassroots beginnings to planting real roots in this city. Our focus on bodily autonomy has never been clearer, the stakes never higher, and our rights more fragile. This gift is a promise to the community: TWP is committed to remaining in the fight to defend and expand bodily freedom for everyone in Rhode Island. We understand the responsibility we have to be stewards of this meaningful gift.”
FIVE YEARS, tomorrow…It will be 5 years as of tomorrow when we shut down the RI Senate in the name of 70% of all the Rhode Islanders wanting to pass the Reproductive Privacy Act and codifying abortion access in our State. Tons of people stormed the chamber floor and dropped banners from the gallery in the name of getting the bill out of committee. Did it work? It sure helped!
Yes, we did that, together. And we keep doing it.
