Activism Goals

TWP shows up where and when bodily freedoms are in the balance. All the time, every time. With focus in school committees to the Rhode Island Interscholastic League, TWP works in the community to stand up for all student’s basic civil rights.

In 2025, TWP is focused on resisting authoritarian threats and protecting democratic values in Rhode Island, by advancing policies that safeguard reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights and greater transparency in our government. Our goal is to empower communities to prevent the rise of fascism and ensure that every Rhode Islander can live with dignity and self-determination.

We fuse art and activism, “Artivism”, with civic engagement and volunteer-powered campaigns to create progressive change at both the local and state levels.

We are committed to protecting the rights of all people, with a particular focus on the LGBTQ+ community in RI, including minors who identify as LGBTQ+.

We have worked to preserve and expand reproductive rights since our founding, with 3 Reproductive Rights Acts passed since 2019, and more to come in 2026!
