There’s something about back to school season that makes us want to break out our label maker and sharpen our pencils, so we’re shaking the beach sand out of our shoes. We’re fully embracing Virgo season over here at The Womxn Project by reorganizing and refocusing to prepare for the season ahead!
The upcoming legislative session is practically here already. We’re working hard on our next season’s plans and invited some new people to both our TWP and TWP Education Fund boards of directors to help us reach our goals.

Falling Hard
There’s a lot going on this fall! We’ve taken a rest, but now we’re refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to get active all over the state. As you’re planning your schedule, make sure these events get onto your calendar. And although we’re not ready to announce the date, we are planning a huge event in the middle of November that we hope you’ll attend. This event will merge activism and live on-site drawing among an awesome community of creatives in one place for a can’t-miss spectacle.
National Voter Registration Day
September 19
As partners in the Rhode Island Voting Access Coalition, we are participating in National Voter Registration Day with locations popping up all over the state.
If you want to volunteer with us to get more community members registered to make their voices heard, sign up here https://bit.ly/NVRDRI23!
Lets Get Fired Up at our Grill and Chill Volunteer Party
September 30, 3-5pm
This is the first in our series of events tailored to creatives and activists alike with a mix of fun and self care. If you’ve always wanted to volunteer with us, come meet our new board members and other existing volunteers while learning what we’re all about.
And if you’ve been a volunteer, come see the groundbreaking projects on the horizon and choose the type of volunteering that fits you best. During this event, we’ll provide a sneak peek into our 2024 platform that includes partnering to help expand trans protections, expanding voter rights, and continuing our work to expand access to reproductive care. As this monthly series continues, we’ll invite speakers and host artivist workshops. Children are always welcome!
