JOHNSTON — Under mounting pressure from abortion-rights advocates to help codify Roe v. Wade in state law, Gov. Gina Raimondo on Friday said she is doing all she can and endorsed the idea of a legislative compromise that can pass the Senate.
“I think I have been as strong and steady as possible on this issue, beginning with my State of the State [speech], and I haven’t changed or wavered at all,” Raimondo told reporters Friday morning in response to calls from The Womxn Project, a liberal advocacy group, that she do more.
