Did you know that in order to maximize our impact and make sure balance our advocacy and policy change work with education and culture change we actually have two entities? We sometimes refer to them as our “two arms to help reach the most people and make the biggest difference”.
- The Womxn Project is where we do our work around politics and are known as a strong, strategic and effective voice and force to advance legislation.
- The Womxn Project Education Fund is where you get our renowned ARTivism. From our RI State House petition quilt to our projections at the Supreme Court, we start and change conversations through our work to leverage the power of art.
Each of our entities has a powerful and profound role in how we approach our work – and how we are able to make such a BIG difference!
We need to do a better job of talking about the depth and breadth of our work – and the ways you can be involved and/or invest in our efforts. We hope this message will help you to get to know us even better – and inspire you to keep up all the great work with us!

The Let RI Vote Bill and Resolution will be heard in the State Government and Elections Committee this Thursday!
Our vote is our voice. That is why we are so proud to be part of the coalition working to pass policies to protect and improve voting access! We need the State Government and Elections Committee to understand the importance of these bills – and get that we WANT these bills to pass.
Here are the members of the committee. Only 2 are co-sponsors, so we have some work to do.
- You can call them to say, “I support the slate of bills being heard this Thursday in support of voting access. In particular, please vote yes on the Let RI Vote Bill, H7100 and the same day voter registration resolution, H7225. Thank you.”
- You could also send a short email using the same basic language.
The Let RI Vote Act and the Same-Day Registration Resolution are scheduled for a hearing on THURSDAY, MARCH 24.
The committee will be in-person only in Room 101 (at the Rise likely 4:30pm or so). There are 16 bills being heard that day, but the Let RI Vote Bill (H-7100) will be heard first, and the resolution that would ultimately result in same day voter registration (H-7225) will be heard 3rd, so you would likely be done by 6:30. If you are interested in testifying, contact Deb for more information.
Written testimony can also be submitted to the committee directly by sending it to [email protected]. You can also send it to the committee chair, [email protected]. The text of your email should be brief and to the point but should also include the bill numbers and of course your personal experience. Finally, remember to include your name and address
We strongly urge everyone to send an email. It is very important that we show up either in person or by email to make the point that the bills are very important to voters for our midterm election this coming fall!

Spectacle is not a word one automatically thinks of when they think of an educational program, but that is what TWP Education Fund does so well – large scale, attention grabbing presentations and installations to raise awareness and build support on our priorities and key issues.
We need folks to invest in our ability to keep up our creative efforts to ensure equal access to reproductive healthcare. We hope you’ll join us on Friday, April 1st when Rhode Islanders will have the opportunity to help support each other in a tangible way through 401Gives.
Hosted by the United Way, 401Gives unites people in altruism and offers them a safe, comfortable, and familiar virtual fundraising experience all while giving nonprofits unrestricted funds that strengthen Rhode Island.
TWP is honored to participate with its sister org, The Womxn Project Education Fund, on such a special day. We’ve set the ambitious goal of raising $10,000 in one day, and we need your support!
If you don’t want to wait, you can jump right in with us TODAY and/or join us on April 1st and make a contribution to The Womxn Project as part of 401Gives.
