We are beyond grateful to everyone who showed up to the State House on Tuesday. SUCH A BIG WEEK!
ast night (and into this morning – almost 6 am) people were up at the State House to speak out at two different hearings. We took a HUGE step forward in the campaign to protect the right to abortion! The House Judiciary Committee passed an amended Reproductive Privacy Act (H 5125) onto the floor. It is scheduled for a full floor vote on Thursday, March 7th. We will be at the State House for session today and tomorrow.
- Let us know if you’re able to be there with us: www.bit.ly/
We are going to keep up the work to get the bill passed in the House on Thursday and moved through the Senate. We need to keep on organizing and speaking out and pulling out all the stops to protect the right to abortion THIS YEAR. There are soooo many ways you can get involved – phoning, door knocking, house parties, postcarding.
- Tell us if you have a few hours to give this weekend: www.bit.ly/
Founded just two years ago around a kitchen table by artists and activists who wanted to build a strong statewide movement for change, we are leveraging the power of art and grassroots organizing and DAMN, we are beyond thrilled with how far we’ve come! But we need your help to keep it up and see this campaign through. We are in this TOGETHER!
Don’t have time to give in the next few days, then you can give money to make an investment in our continued efforts this year – and long after!
- We have big, bold goals beyond this initiative, so give what you can to help us KEEP IT UP:
Over the past few months, we have worked with THOUSANDS of volunteers to build momentum for legislation to protect abortion and create the foundation for longer term change to advance forward thinking policies to meet the needs of women and families and develop creative programming to cultivate dialogue.
We are stronger together. We are going to get this done. And we are going to keep getting it done to advance the kind of real, lasting change we all need. The time is NOW!
