Hope you have had a chance to get some rest, have some fun and spend time with loved ones during this holiday season. We are grateful for the memories we have made. We are also grateful for YOU and all that we accomplished together this year.
. . . . . . . . .
As we get ready to greet a New Year and a whole set of new opportunities and adventures,we have two simple things you can do to help us kick things off with strength and purpose:
-
Invest in our ability to keep up the fight. We have built a robust network of amazing activists across the state using art, education and advocacy. We need your help to continue to make a difference. Whether you can give $5, $50 or $105, we are beyond appreciative of your generosity. Please, donate TODAY! We cannot do this work and we would not want to do it without you by our side!
-
Mark your calendars for 1/7 and make it clear that we are not going away! Together, we truly made an impact at the State House in getting the Reproductive Privacy Act, but there is still work to do. Parents with disabilities are having their kids taken away. LGBT families do not have the same rights and protections in our laws. Low-income people who use Medicaid for their health insurance are denied coverage for abortion. This is unconscionable and we are going to do something about it! (Learn more about our 2020 legislative agenda.)
Join us in your favorite Womxn Project t-shirt at the State House next Tuesday, January 7th for the start of the 2020 legislative session. We are meeting in the library at 3:30.
We need to SHOW UP and make sure that our lawmakers know that the movement that we built to protect the right to abortion is going to keep organizing and speaking out to push for the other positive changes we need in our state.
. . . . . . . . .
We are so grateful to each and every one of you for the time you have given and for your amazing support. We will continue to offer opportunities to get involved in your community and at the State House. If you have any ideas or want to host an event, let us know. Together, we KNOW that we will keep making a difference, shifting power and creating a more just and healthy Rhode Island!
