The Womxn Project is proud to be at the State House and the Supreme Court today to ensure when someone needs an abortion they have the right and they can afford to get safe, compassionate care!
We have built a movement here in Rhode Island – a strong and robust network of activists willing to speak up and show up to ensure that every person gets to make their own decisions about their bodies and about how we plan our families.
We organized to push for the passage of legislation to protect the right to abortion, but there is still work to be done right to make sure when someone needs an abortion that they can afford to get care.
We are proud to lead a campaign to advance the Equality in Abortion Coverage Act (House Bill 7618/Senate Bill 2476), which gets rid of policies that take away health coverage for abortion.
JOIN US for #Repro4RI4All Lobby Day: We have a group of activists headed to the State House today for a #Repro4RI4All lobby day in support of this bill. The event is being coordinated by the Rhode Island Coalition for Reproductive Freedom. Be there – meeting up at the State House Library at 3:00pm!
We believe that no matter how much money you have or your type of insurance that when you need – or want – an abortion that you should be able to get one.
We also believe that no matter where you live you should be able to get services without judgment or barriers. That is why we have a delegation of fifty people in Washington, DC today as the Supreme Court considers June Medical Services v. Russo, a critical case concerning abortion access.
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD: Join us in urging the Court to strike down laws that have nothing to do with health and safety and everything to do with making abortion care harder to get and harder to provide.
The case may focus on Louisiana, but it is a pivotal moment in the ongoing debate about medically unnecessary and onerous limitations!
- Sample Post: We are fighting back to make sure that whether people choose adoption, seek abortion or raise a child that they have the support and services they need. We won’t watch as our right to abortion is trampled on or access is taken away! #MyRightMyDecision #repro4RI4all
We are sick of the political game playing. We will keep working hard here in Rhode Island and across the country to make sure that we control our futures!
