The Woman Project

As a transgender and gender queer individual, this conversation affects me too.

June 7, 2018 by TWP

As a male-identified being, I often feel – largely appropriately so – ancillary to the conversation about reproductive rights. But as a transgender and gender queer individual, as a queer person, this conversation affects me too. Many of you know I’m a local Unitarian Universalist minister. But that’s not the capacity I’m writing in here. I’m writing as a member of the … [Read more...] about As a transgender and gender queer individual, this conversation affects me too.

Mother’s Day, 3:19am

May 17, 2018 by TWP

I have tried to show my daughters that being politically active can be a part of your everyday life, but it has come at a cost. It has meant less nourishing food, less time outdoors, fewer play dates, more chaos, and less family time. The … [Read more...] about Mother’s Day, 3:19am

Change is afoot and yet very much the same…

April 25, 2018 by TWP

Change is afoot at TWP.    We have a new collaborator, DL Helfer, a local UU minister. We have a new look, clasped hands to demonstrate the way we’ve been making change — together. And our approach has shifted a bit as well, as we grow from a fledgling RI organization focused on bodily autonomy through art activism to a voice heard in our Statehouse and beyond.   We’re … [Read more...] about Change is afoot and yet very much the same…
