Senate Hearing, 2017

The Senate will be hearing S. 274, the Reproducitve Health Care Bill. Here is the timeline:

3 pm – 4 pm (Lobby Time)
Talk with your own State Representative and State Senator about why protecting reproductive rights and access to health care is important to you. Lobby Captains will help you with information and finding your own State Senator and State Representative.

Also, we will have the HUGE petition to display, if you haven’t signed it yet, now will be your chance.

3:30 pm
You can start signing up to testify, submit written testimony, or just indicate your support or opposition to any of the bills. Volunteers will show you where to do this. Event if you don’t plan to stay for the hearing you can sign in infavor of the bill and put that you won’t testify.

4:30 pm to the end
The agenda includes two pro-reproductive freedom bills :
Senate Bill 274 – Protect the legal right to abortion in Rhode Island law and Senate Bill 660 – Repeal unconstitutional and unenforceable “spousal notification” law he hearing should start at this time.
