Did you see that the United States Supreme Court issued a ruling striking down a set of restrictions in Louisiana interfering with access to abortion? This decision has huge implications. The highest court in the land made it clear today that lawmakers should not be pushing medically unnecessary limits on abortion just to make care harder to get and create an undue burden.
We know that this decision won’t stop extremists from pushing their agenda to take away all access to abortion. But we aren’t stopping either. We are committed to working for a world where everyone is able to receive the abortion care they need and create their families without barriers, fear, or interference!

Join us on Wednesday, July 1st from 5:30-6:30pm for a virtual happy hour and briefing. Let’s celebrate this victory and talk about what’s next. We took a big step here in Rhode Island last year by passing the Reproductive Privacy Act, but we know that for many people care is still pushed out of reach by state laws that take away health coverage or put up barriers for young people. To get the Zoom information to call or video in, log in here: https://bit.ly/SCOTUShappyhourandbriefing

There is still work to be done right here to make sure when someone needs an abortion that they make that decision and that they can get care without judgment or barriers.
The Womxn Project is committed to continuing to do that work not only to make sure that people can get an abortion when they need one, but to build strong, healthy communities where we can all live with dignity and build a better future! Join us to hear more about how we can achieve that vision together.
