Today, June 24th, marks the 3 year anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade after nearly 50 years of protecting reproductive rights. This day is not one we celebrate, but rather a day of reflection on how much our rights are at-risk. And as we said then and see playing out now, Roe was the first domino in a large range of healthcare related issues being attacked.
We will never stop fighting for reproductive rights and LGBTQIA+ equality and are only working to make them stronger…. TOGETHER!
SAVE THE DATE: Through the generosity of our community, a few small businesses across Rhode Island are donating a percentage of their sales or act as a hub to donate to our efforts to make this occasion and to continue in our progress together. So please see it as a little shopping tour, one which we are calling “Rhode Island is Pro-Roe.”
This fundraiser will support our defense of the Reproductive Privacy Act (2019) which codified abortion in our State, expanded abortion access to Medicaid recipients with the Equality in Abortion Coverage Act (EACA) (2023) and protects providers from outside attacks with the Healthcare Provider Shield Act (2024).
While we are incredibly fortunate to have these pieces of legislation in place, like we learned 3 years ago, we cannot take anything for granted. We will continue being a voice of inclusion for all to live with dignity and care and with the Medicaid cuts potentially coming, we see our EACA in the crosshairs.
So join our defensive work of these laws as well as support us as we turn to the future for solutions that expand RI’s care legislatively. Let’s stand up together because there are ways (and we have seen it work), we will take care of us.

RI Pride Parade & Rally
TWP was thrilled, honored & humbled to be one of the Grand Marshals at RI Pridefest and Parade! Board Member April Ruedaflores and ED, Jocelyn Foye joined other honorees on the Main stage for a talk on how to directly get active TODAY and then marched with 62 TWP friends in the parade with banners, SCOTUS ghouls, and our giant megaphone all in tow.
TWP is grateful for the privilege of serving the LQBTQIA+ community through the Bodily Freedom Forever Index and campaign. As one community member graciously noted:
