SOUTH KINGSTOWN — Residents packed the sanctuary at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County (UUCSC) on Sunday for the opportunity to gather insight from Rep. Teresa Tanzi and Sen. Bridget Valverde into the inner workings of the General Assembly.
Hosted by the UUCSC Racial Justice Team and The Womxn Project, the “demystifying the Statehouse” event aimed to help clarify the process by which bills make their way into law, while also addressing some of the challenges still threatening passage of the Reproductive Health Care Act (RHCA).
