The Womxn Project will be in Washington DC on March 4th when the Supreme Court considers June Medical Services v. Gee, a case that could undermine or even result in taking away theprotections of Roe and the right to abortion in this country. Sure, we passed the RPA and protected our rights here in Rhode Island, but we believe in taking a stand. Rhode Island will not stand by and watch our rights be attacked.
The Womxn Project is proud to announce that we have confirmed 50 people, including students from URI and RIC, who will be traveling to be part of this historic moment.
We will also be meeting with members of the Rhode Island congressional delegation to talk about the needs and priorities in our state and push for support of the Women’s Health Protection Act, federal legislation to get rid of medically unnecessary restrictions on access to abortion.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Many of the folks who have registered to attend, including young people traveling from our state to make their voices heard, will need help getting there. Can you make a donation or event sponsor on attendee ($250)? Your generosity will make sure that our state is represented! Three ways to give!!! Donate | Sponsor | Attend a Fundraising Party
Can’t make it to DC? Caroline will be at the State House that March 4th and would love to have your company with updates from the trip on hand. Yojaida will be there the following day.
