Providence, RI: The Womxn Project Education Fund (TWPEF) is sponsoring a virtual conversation with Secretary Amore on Thursday, December 11th at 2 PM.
The Secretary will describe the current demands by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for access to private voter information and how his office will vigilantly protect the privacy of Rhode Islanders. “I denied the Department of Justice’s unsubstantiated request for Rhode Islanders’ private information because the administration of elections falls under the purview of the states under the United States Constitution,” said Secretary Amore, “one of the most important responsibilities as the chief state election official is safeguarding the data privacy of Rhode Islanders, who entrust us with their personal information when they register to vote. I will continue to fight to protect it…”
Jocelyn Foye and TWPEF support unfettered lawful access to the ballot and will work with the Secretary of State and others in and out of government to ensure free and fair elections in Rhode Island, as has been the case. “The Womxn Project Education Fund uses creative ways to educate and engage folks in civic life. Our core ideal, that everyone deserves bodily freedom, can only be secured when every citizen can vote for officials that represent their values. We will be very active in engaging the public around civics and voting protections as we move to the 2026 elections.”
