We’re big fans of inclusion at The Womxn Project (as an example, see an old goal put into practice- to include more Spanish translations, and as such, see them below) and sometimes we find Valentine’s Day to be exclusive. So we’re proposing to expand the meaning of the holiday beyond romance and use it to embrace a community of care and support, particularly among like-minded parents, teachers, and clinicians. We’re also proposing we extend the date- and not only because discounted candy is something to celebrate.
We’re committing to using the Valentine’s Day season as an opportunity to show gratitude for those who show us care and to show care to others. Will you join us in expressing some non-romantic love this season? Please send this downloadable “palentine” to a parent, teacher, or clinician who has shown you care and support.

As attacks on trans community members get louder and bolder, we’re thrilled to see Rhode Island legislators doing the right thing by introducing The Health Care Provider Shield Act (The Shield Bill).

Renee B. (she/her) was born and raised in Rhode Island. She is the director of the Cardiovascular Institute at Rhode Island Hospital and has worked in healthcare for more than 25 years.
Gopi P. (she/her) was raised in Massachusetts, but has had strong ties to Rhode Island for the last 12 years. She is the Director of Client Services at a mid-size manufacturing company after having worked as the art and science educator at The Children’s Museum in Boston.

5th Anniversary of the Reproductive Privacy Act Exhibition and Celebration
March 28, 3-5 pm
Lower Level Gallery, RI State House
Reproductive Privacy Act (RPA) Community Petition Quilt in honor of the coming 5th year anniversary of the RPA’s passage. Short speaking program starting at 3:30 pm. Five years ago, the Community Petition Quilt was built as a growing community art piece that served as a tangible representation of all the voices of people who wanted to see the RPA passed. Each square was made by a supporter, and each was signed and dated. This is the first time the quilt has been on display since September 22, 2022.

El Proyecto de Ley Escudo es importante porque las autoridades en algunos de estos estados intentan intimidar o castigar a médicos que brindan cuidado a sus residentes huyendo de su estado buscando acceso a atención médica reproductiva y transgenero.
No hay término medio en esta cuestión. Si no tomamos medidas para proteger a nuestros médicos y por extensión, a sus pacientes, estamos a riesgo todos.

Todavía estamos flotando con alegría sobre nuestro evento de Advocacy is Love. Este fue el primer evento de este tipo que organizamos y la respuesta fue abrumadora. 5 Aniversario de la ley de Privacidad Reproductiva

Colcha de Petición Comunitaria de la Ley de Privacidad Reproductiva (RPA) en honor al próximo quinto aniversario de la aprobación de la RPA. Programa breve a partir de las 3:30pm.
Hace 5 años, la Colcha de Petición Comunitaria se construyó como una obra de arte comunitaria en crecimiento que sirvió como una representación tangible de todas las voces de las personas que querían que se aprobara la RPA. Cada cuadro fue hecho por un partidario, y cada uno está firmado y fechado. Esta es la primera vez que la colcha se exhibe desde Septiembre 22, 2022.
