PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — More than 100 pro-choice advocates greeted Senators heading into a fundraiser at a West End restaurant on Thursday night.
Senators were jeered or cheered as they entered, depending on how they voted on reproductive rights act that remains mired in the Senate’s Judiciary Committee.
Rhode Island Senate President Ruggerio was the host, and while he hasn’t voted on the bill, he’s a target because advocates claim he promised the bill would get a vote from the full Senate.
