To all the given and chosen mamas and really anyone out there providing love and support in our families and communities, we salute you! We are celebrating in a very Womxn Project way by speaking up for what mamas really need – policies that ensure health and dignity and work to advance racial justice. Check out our editorials in both Uprise RI and the Providence Journal talking about what it really looks like to honor moms!
We are proud to build momentum for change women and families need! With your help we will continue to make a positive difference and advance policy change. Stay tuned for new actions for adjustments in the minimum payment for families on welfare (which has not changed since 1991!), the minimum of police accountability in RI, and more on the Equality in Abortion Coverage Act. While we are all volunteer our hearts and minds are focused as we grow in more dialogues of access and freedom to live with dignity. We appreciate being in this work with you.
