Labor Day recognizes American labor and the socioeconomic achievements of U.S.
With such a crucial election is coming up fast, we must continue to advocate for fair wages, timely and sufficient healthcare, and racial and gender justice. We all work too hard and sacrifice too much to continue struggling economically while those with extreme wealth continue to bleed us dry. This is our pledge for this and every Labor Day!
We hope you’ll have time to spend with your family and friends on this day, and celebrate all you have done to get where you are, while holding space for all that is left to do.
El Día del Trabajo reconoce el trabajo estadounidense y los logros socioeconómicos de los EE.UU. Una elección se acerca rápidamente, y debemos continuar abogando por sueldos justos, atención médica oportuna y suficiente, y justicia racial y de género. Todos trabajamos demasiado duro y sacrificamos demasiado para continuar batallando económicamente mientras aquellos con riqueza extrema continúan a explotarnos.

| 1 | Be an Informed Voter in Rhode Island: #VoteBFFWe’re launching something this Fall that we’ve spent all summer working on. And it’s going to help you vote smarter in November. It’s called the Bodily Freedom Forever Index.
Rhode Island elections have a culture all their own. In a state that consistently votes blue, any candidate with an R after their name starts behind the pack. So to even the playing field, candidates make sure they have a D after their name, even if their philosophies veer right. That makes your job a little harder because you can’t just vote blue with confidence.
Then there’s our local “know-a-guy” obsession with name recognition. Some candidates say it’s in their best interest to keep issues out of elections and rely on voters simply selecting names they recognize on their ballot. Pretty insulting, right?
So we, and over 50 volunteers all over the State, spent all summer busting through their stonewalling by conducting research on where candidates stand on the topic of bodily freedom. Read more about it HERE.
We are releasing the BFFI for the primary election on September 10, and in mid-October in time for the general election to help you easily vote for the candidates who share your values. We know what the RI Republican Party’s plan for our state is, and we’re going to block them every step of the way. Watch for the launch!

Se un Votante Informado en Rhode Island: #VoteBFF
Estamos lanzando algo este otoño en lo que hemos pasado todo el verano trabajando. Y te va a ayudar a votar más inteligentemente en noviembre. Se llama el Índice de Libertad Corporal para Siempre.
Las elecciones de Rhode Island tienen una cultura en sí. En un estado que consistentemente vota azul, cualquier candidato con una R después de su nombre empieza atrasado. Entonces, para darse mejor oportunidad, los candidatos se aseguran de tener una D después de su nombre, incluso si sus filosofías se desvían hacia la derecha. Eso hace tu trabajo un poco más difícil porque no sólo puedes votar azul con confianza.
Y también existe nuestra obsesión con el reconocimiento de un nombre familiar. Algunos candidatos dicen que lo mejor para ellos es mantener los temas fuera de las elecciones y confiar en que los votantes simplemente seleccionen los nombres que reconocen en su papeleta. Bastante insultante, ¿verdad?
