It is summer, which should absolutely include the beach, picnics, barbecues, and road trips. Our kiddos are at home with us or we are bringing them to camps. It is a fun and hectic time.
We have all been enjoying special moments with family and friends, but make no mistake that we are not going away. We are continuing to look for ways to educate and engage the community and to make an impact to advance health and human rights in our state.
Just this week we were at a reading of “The Clinic” by the Wilbury Theatre Group and our co-director, Jordan Hevenor was on a panel with Senator Gayle Goldin and the Women’s Health & Education Fund’s Tiara Mack. Our other co-director, Jocelyn Foye and a number of our volunteer leaders such as Jennifer Rourke and Caroline Morgan were also at “Rock the Boat”, a fundraiser for our friends and coalition partners at Planned Parenthood Votes! Rhode Island. Finally, board member Tammy Brown directed an intersectional representation of Two Gentlemen of Verona in Wakefield where she is associate artistic director for the Contemporary Theater Company and a bunch of our community were able to attend and support.
Let’s keep up the conversation and keep up the fight for real and lasting change! JOIN US on Thursday, July 18th from 6:30-8:00pm in Providence for a “Womxn Project Community Meeting and Strategy Discussion”. The goal of this gathering is to celebrate and acknowledge the movement that we have built together and to identify initial steps and upcoming opportunities to continue to make a positive impact.

We are beyond grateful for all of your hard work to help pass the Reproductive Privacy Act and protect the right to abortion. We still have work to do to ensure that we can all manage our health, plan our families, control our futures and live with dignity. We hope we can count on you to continue to be in this with us!
