International Women’s Day

ACTTEAMSPORT
It’s International Women’s Day and to celebrate, we’re doubling down on our ambition to make the world a better place. But we know that changing the world requires more doing than reading, so we’re going to keep this one short and sweet!

Here’s how you can help:

RestIs your cup looking a little empty these days? This video will give you some stress management tips so you can rest up and carry on the fight with us!

TAKE NOTE: Starting this week, only in-person testimony is allowed at the Rhode Island State House. We have mixed feelings about this. Delivering a message in person is powerful, but we understand there may be some reluctance. As we get ready to ramp up when the hearing is scheduled for the EACA, we hope you will consider joining us in person and will also support folks in submitting their thoughts in writing. More soon!

We appreciate that so many companies and lawmakers will celebrate International Women’s Day, but let’s be real. We don’t need pretty words. We need actions.

  • We need to all be paid equally, make a living wage and provided with paid leave.
  • We need affordable healthcare, including abortion, contraception, prenatal and gender affirming care.
  • We need to dismantle white supremacy, end deportations and make sure we can all raise our families with safety and dignity.

We need and demand MORE – and we are willing to fight for it!

P.S. Our friends at Ipas recently joined us to talk about the Helms Amendment and the Abortion is Healthcare Everywhere ActCheck out the video. Ipas is celebrating International Women’s Day by calling on Congress to Repeal Helms!
