We know the stakes are high. The Trump Pence administration just announced yesterday that in spite of the fact that a federal court issued a national injunction against their domestic gag rulethat they would enforce it anyway. WTF?! This means that as of today any family clinic that receives federal funded is being told they cannot even refer people who need abortion care. This is not only absurd, but downright dangerous.
It is not just our right to healthcare that is under attack. We are also hearing that immigration enforcement officers are targeting thousands of families in mass raids in as many as 10 cities to increase deportations and continue the cruel separation of families.
Activists across the country are pushing for a national day of action this weekend to #ClosetheCamps and release all detained families. You can learn more HERE.
The fact is there is a lot of work to do to ensure that we get to plan and care for our families and control our bodies and our futures. It can seem overwhelming, but we hope that you will see our collective power and the fact that we are in this together as both comforting and inspiring.
We can make a difference. We have and we will again!
