In 2018, the Womxn Project set a goal to help enact a law to protect the right to abortion in Rhode Island regardless of what happens to Roe v. Wade. The group, along with their partners and legislative champions in the state, advocated tirelessly over the last six months towards their goal. On June 19th, the Reproductive Privacy Act was passed by the legislature and signed by Governor Raimondo the very same day.
