Throughout the session we gathered postcards and handed out flyers at rallies, festivals, concerts and many other events across the state to educate and mobilize people to support the Reproductive Privacy Act. We are thrilled by passage of the RPA, but there is still work to do to make sure we can all manage our health, plan our families, control our futures and live with dignity.
We need to continue to be out in the community to engage Rhode Islanders. That’s where you come in! We have a series of events coming up in the next month starting with THIS SATURDAY.
Join The Womxn Project’s Jordan Hevenor this Saturday, August 3rd from 7:00-9:00pm to gather petition postcards at WaterFire in Providence. The cards are urging them to continue to advance policies to ensure abortion access and meet the needs of Rhode Island women and families. We need to show them that we are a movement and we are not going away! For more information, click here.
We will be at events the rest of the summer and into the fall. We hope you will join us this Saturday! We will meet at South Main and College in Providence.
This is a great chance to connect with people in the community and hear what issues folks are facing and how we can help to make a positive difference.
Do you have an event in your area that we should be part of? Contact us at [email protected]. Together, we will continue to make an impact and advance policies that help to advance health, rights and justice.

Can’t make it out to an event? You can still help. We are doing “thank you” postcards for the lawmakers who supported the RPA. Contact Deb to get a list and supplies. This is an important way to make it clear that we are grateful to the legislators who stood with us and to also continue to cultivate support for efforts to ensure access to care.
