We know that Thanksgiving has a troubled history and yet it is also a time that many of us get to spend with loved ones – given and chosen family as well as dear friends. It can be a moment of rest and reflection which we are trying to do. And yet, this year it will be only a few days after that the huge moment for reproductive health, rights, and justice returns to the Supreme Court in arguments on the Mississippi early abortion ban on December 1st*.
We know there is much work ahead in the pursuit of liberation, but we also now that the love of our families and our communities and taking time to rest and care for ourselves is an integral part of the work. Here are a few recommendations:
