OUR STORY
Party with us on June 10 at AS220 (115 Empire Street, Providence) for an evening of laughs and celebration at our Pink Sapphire Birthday Bash! Join TWP and friends, family, and fellow activists to raise a glass to five years of strength, victory, and togetherness throughout our fight for abortion access in Rhode Island.
Five years ago, The Womxn Project was founded on the principle of creating a more equitable and just Rhode Island. Three years ago, we worked hard to ensure the right to abortion was codified in Rhode Island law via the Reproductive Privacy Act. Now, we’re fighting to ensure that everyone can access the right to an abortion through the Equality in Abortion Coverage Act.
We have great hope for the future and that’s why we chose the pink sapphire as a symbol for our event. Not only is a sapphire a traditional fifth-anniversary gift, but the pink sapphire also symbolizes strength, hope, the ability to power through hardships, and intense love and compassion. And that’s exactly what we need to win the fight ahead.
Please, join us to celebrate all we’ve accomplished together and support us in planning for what’s ahead!
